On Thursday, January 28, Assad’s forces, Liwaa al-Quds and the National Defense Militia (NDF) launched a large-scale campaign to comb locations in the western badiyah of Deir Ezzor, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that groups of the military and criminal security branches participated in the campaign, which reached the border of Ma’adan area in the eastern countryside of Raqqa.
The correspondent confirmed that the campaign resulted in the establishment of new checkpoints and guard posts in the badiyah areas adjacent to the villages of the western Deir Ezzor countryside.
This campaign is part of Assad forces’ responses to Daesh attacks, that killed and injured dozens of members in the past few days.
