A source told the Deir Ezzor 24 that Ali al-Ass’ad, a commander of the Liwaa al-Quds militia sustained critical injuries as unknown shooting targeted his vehicle in the al-Faydda in the al-Mayadeen badiya, eastern Deir Ezzor.
Al-Ass’ad is the commander of the largest group of the Russian backed Liwaa al-Quds militia. Al-Ass’ad’ s injury caused the militia to raise alert.
Daesh is suspected to target al-Ass’ad, especially as Daesh is active in the area al-Ass’ad was targeted.
Ali al-Ass’ad is a Palestinian and one of the prominent commanders of the Liwaa al-Quds militia operating in Deir Ezzor under Russians’ cover.
