The commander of the National Defense Militia (NDF) in Deir Ezzor, Firass Al-Iraqiyeh, visited Al-Masrab village in the western Deir Ezzor countryside on Wednesday, September 2, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
The correspondent noted that Al-Iraqiyeh wanted to inspect the NDF’s points in Al-Masrab badiyah after the recent attacks that killed leaders and members of the militia.
He said that a group of people from Al-Masrab met with Al-Iraqiyeh and held him responsible for the fate of their sons serving in the NDF, and demanded that he reveal the identity of the attackers, because of which he directly returned to Deir Ezzor city.
The people of the western Deir Ezzor countryside are resentful of Assad regime, Iranian militias and the NDF because of their failure in dealing with the recent attacks in the region.
