This afternoon, Friday, a man from Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside died by a sandstorm and strong winds which hit Al-Mayadeen city this morning.
According to D24 network correspondent, a man named Salem Abu Muhammad died today when a wall fell down on him because of the strong wind and the storm that hit the region.
The correspondent confirmed that the storm caused some walls to fall down and also uprooted many trees in Al-Mayadeen city.
The correspondent noted that the storm is the strongest the region has seen in years, where the weather observatories centers warned against the consequences of the storm that hit Al-Mayadeen city.
The storm caused considerable congestion in the hospitals of Al-Mayadeen city east of Deir Ezzor, as many cases of asphyxiation entered the hospitals.
It is indicated that the Assad’s forces and the Iranian militias have been controlling Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside for about two years.
