Today, Tuesday, the Assad regime pushed employees, students and a number of security branch members in Al-Mayadeen city east of Deir Ezzor to stage rallies, that carried slogans glorifying Assad and the Baath party, local sources told Deir Ezzor 24 network.
According to the sources, the security branches forced all the employees of the departments in the city, as well as teachers, students and some elements, to stage a rally supporting Assad regime in response to Turkey’s military operation against the Syrian democratic forces (SDF) in northern Syria.
The marchers carried pictures of the head of the Assad regime, “Bashar al-Assad”, and chanted slogans glorifying him and the Baath regime, such as “we put our souls and blood before you, Bashar,” and “God, Syria, and Bashar and nothing else.”
It is noteworthy that the Assad regime is now in a state of confusion because of Turkey’s military operations in northern Syria, where it held negotiations last Sunday with leaders of the “Kurdish” Autonomous administration units to resolve the differences between them to face the Turkish military operation in northern Syria.
