In a statement released today, Tuesday, 12 May 2020, Daesh claimed responsibility for carrying out several attacks against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Deir Ezzor.
The group claimed responsibility for killing two elements of the SDF yesterday, Monday, near the crossings area in Ash-Shahil town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
In another statement, Daesh also claimed responsibility for targeting a military vehicle of the SDF on Al-Kharafi highway between Deir Ezzor and Hasaka.
It is noteworthy that Daesh has recently increased its operations in Deir Ezzor province east and west of the Euphrates, and in return, the international coalition has intensified its security operations against Daesh cells in the region.
