Deir Ezzor civil council’s finance officer is the target of an assassination attempt

Today, Wednesday May 27, Huzaifa Al-Omar, the finance officer of Deir Ezzor Civil Council’s Services Committee, was seriously injured when unknown assailants targeted him with several bullets on al-Omar field road, and as a result of which he was taken to hospital, sources close to Al-Omar told Deir Ezzor 24 network.

According to the sources, al-Omar was transferred to Al-Bussairah hospital, and then to Al-Kasrah hospital west of Deir Ezzor, where he received a surgery.

The sources confirmed that “al-Omar” is now in stable condition and under observation.

It is noteworthy that the assailants fled the scene immediately after the shooting, and have not been identified till now.
