The Ba’ath party-affiliated Youth Union branch in Deir Ezzor has sent a group of its members to As-Suwayda city despite the curfew Assad regime has imposed on the movement between provinces as part of the measures taken to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

Our correspondent said that the Youth Union members were sent to visit and lay wreaths on the grave of Brigadier General Issam Zahruddin, who was killed in October 2017 in Deir Ezzor, in recognition of his efforts in “liberating Deir Ezzor”.

Issam Zahruddin, a Druze from As-Suwayda city, was an officer in the Republican Guard of Assad Forces. He had a history full of crimes against the people of Deir Ezzor and other Syrian provinces such as Homs and Hama.
