A source told Deir Ezzor 24 network that the Baath Party’s central leadership dismissed Ali al-Rasul, the head of the management office and vice-president of the Farmers’ Union in Deir Ezzor.

According to the source, “al-Rasul” was dismissed because his son serves in the Syrian democratic forces (SDF). The party leadership also dismissed Hammoud Ali al-Abd, the president of the Agricultural Association in al-Mayadeen area, because he has a son in Europe.

The Baath Party leadership now criminalizes any official who has sons outside Syria, and prevents anyone from assuming an administrative or leading position if he or she has a son outside the country and is wanted for compulsory or reserve military service, according to studies of the Political Security Division and its branches in the provinces.
