A source told Deir Ezzor 24 network that Iran’s proxy militias have begun to replace the groups and brigades “local” military commanders with Iranian and Afghan foreign leaders.
The source added that the main reason behind these changes is that local elements from Deir Ezzor have left the Iranian militias, and joined the Russian forces after they gave them an attractive offer to fight in Libya in exchange for monthly salary of $2000 and more for each element.
Other reasons for this change are related to corruption, theft and lack of commitment on the part of the local military commanders.
In a related context, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said that forces belonging to Al-Quds force militia have left Deir Ezzor city yesterday, Wednesday (June 3) at sunset and headed for the cities of al-Mayadeen and Al-Bukamal east of Deir Ezzor.
It is noteworthy that recently, the Russian forces have increased their activity in Deir Ezzor by opening the door for volunteering in exchange of large amounts of money, which sounded the alarm among the Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor, prompting them to take proactive steps to protect their positions and interests west of the Euphrates.
