Today, Sunday (June 6th), the Iraqi government closed Al-Qaim border crossing with Syria in the vicinity of Al-Bukamal city east of Deir Ezzor, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that the crossing was closed after detecting new cases of Coronavirus infection among the employees of the crossing, which prompted the government to take a decision to close it.
Our correspondent noted that the land crossings of the Iranian militias on the Syrian-Iraqi border in the vicinity of Al-Bukamal are still active and have not been closed.
It is indicated that about a month ago, two cases of Coronavirus infection were recorded at Al-Qaim border crossing between Syria and Iraq.
