During the past few days, there has been a state of tension between Assad’s forces and Iranian proxy militias in Deir Ezzor, that has developed in some places to armed clashes between the two sides, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that a few days ago, clashes broke out between elements of the Iranian proxy militias and Assad’s forces in Al-Mayadeen and Al-Bukamal cities east of Deir Ezzor, resulting in injuries on both sides.
The main reason for this tension is that Assad’s forces arrested a Syrian doctor working with Iranian militias, and refused to release him despite the repeated calls by the militias, the correspondent said.
It is noteworthy that the vital areas of Deir Ezzor west of the Euphrates, which are under the control of Assad’s forces and the Iranian militias, are still witnessing a state of tension and alert between the two sides due to the dispute.
