Today, Assad’s forces deployed military reinforcements to several of their points in the southwestern desert of Deir Ezzor, according to the reporter of DeirEzzor24 network.
He said that the reinforcements consisted of dozens of elements, accompanied by pickup trucks carrying anti-aircraft machine guns, in addition to equipment and ammunition.
He added that reinforcements arrived this afternoon in the vicinity of the Kharata and Kasaiba fields, with the participation of several militias, in anticipation of upcoming attacks by Daesh due to weather forecasts indicating the arrival of a dust storm on Sunday and Monday to Deir Ezzor, which is usually exploited by Daesh to launch attacks.
The Kharata and Kusaiba fields were previously guarded by the 17th Division and the Qatirji militia of Russia.
