After many reports were posted to social media by several media outlets about the increase of the water level of the Euphrates River, which has caused a state of shock and fear among the locals ( according to those reports), the Raqqa24 looked into the matter and confirmed that the river’s level rise usually happens during winter, and it is caused by the flow of water from Turkish dams.
Because of the recent heavy rainfall and snow, the administration in the Euphrates Dam were pushed to open new turbines to reduce the water level, which will not put the lives of civilians residing in villages near the dam at risk.
