Assad’s forces and aligned militias are still looting civilian properties in villages and towns in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. Yesterday, a video went viral on social media showing the sectarian militais looting properties of displaced families in Al Sayal town in the countryside of Al Bukamal. The video shows convoys of trucks loaded with furniture and other house equipment, including fridges, dish washers, gas canisters, air conditioners and blankets. Nasheeds of the sectarian militias can be heard in the video.
There are many notorious markets in Assad-held areas in Deir Ezzor that are frequented by Assad’s forces and aligned militias because they sell the looted materials in them.
