Yesterday night, unknown warplanes targeted 4 closed trucks that had entered through the gate as part of a convoy from Iraq to the Al-Bukamal countryside, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a private source of DeirEzzor24.
Our correspondent mentioned that there were the trucks were hit by three air strikes once they arrived in the Ostora square (a truck parking lot). As a result, they were burned while the park was heavily damaged from some parts. The ice factory was partially damaged as well in addition to some commercial trucks.
He added that two workers from Al-Ostora Square were injured, while the targeted truck drivers and Iranian militia members fled the scene, and no injuries were recorded among them.
He confirmed that a security cordon was imposed in the vicinity of the place that lasted for several hours, during which the targeted trucks were moved to the desert and people were prevented from being around the place, and the trucks were stopped entering Syria and they retreated from the gate towards the Iraqi interior.
It is noteworthy that in the morning, the Iranian militiamen, along with the security forces, collected and burned the remnants of yesterday’s incident, and today there was no targeting of the aforementioned site.
