Yesterday, a football match was held between the Hatla team and the Albukamal team in the city of Albukamal, east of Deir Ezzor.
In the presence of a high-ranking Iranian, represented by Hajj Rasool, head of the Iranian Cultural Center in Deir Ezzor, and a number of so-called Iranian pilgrims, according to the DeirEzzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that the match came as part of the opening of the Al-Bukamal Municipal Stadium, with full Iranian funding, as pictures of “Qassem Soleimani” topped the stands of the stadium.
He added that the inauguration was attended by the head of the General Sports Federation branch in Deir Ezzor, Hazem Battah, and some members of the leadership of the Baath Party branch, the secretary of the party division in Albukamal, Youssef Al-Sari, a member of the executive office, Muhammad Jamil Al-Nahar, and the secretary of the youth branch, Muhammad Al-Abdullah.
Iran has paid special attention to sports in Deir Ezzor, due to the popularity of the game among the people of the province, in order to win through it the expansion of its popular base, which it is trying to build in Deir Ezzor.
