Sources confirmed to Deir Ezzor 24 network that the explosions which were heard yesterday, Sunday in Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside were caused by air strikes on a military area of the Iranian militias in Al-Mayadeen city east of Deir Ezzor.
The sources noted that warplanes, likely to be Israeli, targeted a military postion of the Iranian militias in Al-Mayadeen city, and that powerful explosions were also heard in the area.
The sources suggested that the targeted site might be an arms depot for the Iranian militias, as the targeted area is about 17-20 km from Al-Mayadeen city.
It is noted that the Israeli aircraft have recently intensified their air strikes on the positions of the Iranian militias in the countryside of al-Bukamal city, where Imam Ali’s base is located.
