A member of the General Security was injured during a clash that broke out between the General Security forces and a drug dealer named “Abdul Hamid Al-Laqman” nicknamed (Al-Thamini) in the city of Al-Qouriya east of Deir Ezzor, yesterday evening, according to a reporter of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our reporter said that another clash broke out between a General Security patrol and a drug gang in the city of Al-Mayadeen, after raiding a den of the gang on Al-Arbaeen Street, which it uses as a headquarters for storing and manufacturing drugs in the city.
He added that the clash resulted in the injury of a member of the General Security. At the same time, the General Security Department sent additional reinforcements to the vicinity of Al-Mayadeen Bridge, where the clashes are currently occurring. Two members of the gang were injured during the confrontations.
Drug trafficking is active in Deir Ezzor at the hands of people affiliated with the Assad regime, most of whom are from the National Defense Militia and the militias supported by Iran.
