The child, Ibrahim Abar Al-Mozan, was killed today when a river ferry used to transport vehicles capsized on the Euphrates River at the Albukamal-Baghouz crossing. He was originally from the town of Al-Baghouz, east of Deir Ezzie;
A truck fell into the Euphrates River today at the river crossing in the village of Al-Tawatha in the eastern Albukamal countryside, while attempting to transport it to the opposite bank by river ferry.
These accidents occur frequently in the Deir ez-Zor countryside due to the primitive methods residents use to travel between the two banks of the Euphrates River (fishing boats and ferries), and all bridges have been out of service for years.
