Photos of Barakah Dawahi from Deir Ezzor who was shot dead by Turkish gendarmes
Barakah Dawahi, wife of Akram Abu Layla, from Albu Kamal, east Deir Ezzor, was shot dead by Turkish gendarmes yesterday midnight after attempting to cross the border from Syria to Turkey.
Barakah Dawahi was accompanied with members of her family and heading towards Turkish territory when she was suddenly shot dead by a Turkish gendarme.
Turkish authorities have kept the border crossings closed for several months so far and increased patrols in an attempt to halt human smuggling alongside Turkish borders. Many civilians had previously been killed by Turkish gendarmeries. Two families fleeing from ISIS in Deir Ezzor had been killed by landmines planted by the group in northern Aleppo as well.
Deir Ezzor province is witnessing a massive wave of displacement towards Turkish borders due to the brutal rule of ISIS.
