Assad regime affiliated traders monopolized food materials by hiding trucks just like the Qatirji, hence prices of materials scored a significant increase. The price of oil reached 8,000 Syrian pounds (SYP) per liter, sugar 3,000 SYP per kilo, tea 60,000 SYP per kilo, and meat 23,000 SYP per kilo.
The Syrian Lira scored a historic decrease against the American dollar over the recent days, reaching 4,000 SYP per dollar.
