This morning, Monday 27-4-2020, the Syrian democratic forces launched raids on the river crossings along the river bank in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that the raiding force confiscated ships intended for smuggling oil and goods to the areas of Assad’s forces, as well as fishing boats, and arrested several people on charges of smuggling to the areas controlled by Assad’s forces on the other side of the Euphrates River.
It is indicated that Smuggling from the areas controlled by SDF to Assad regime areas in Deir Ezzor has not stopped despite the fact that most of the land and river crossings have been closed by the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria, as one of the measures it took to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
