Deir Ezzor 24 exclusive:
On Sunday, 6 September 2019, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sent a security committee to Al-Bukamal border crossing with Iraq, sources confirmed to Deir Ezzor 24 network.
The sources indicated that the security committee is composed of seven people, who will have to submit regular security reports on the movements through the border crossing with Iraq.
The sources added that the committee will be the highest authority at the crossing, and that it has started its work directly, taking a building near the crossing as its official headquarters.
The sources indicated that an Iranian who speaks Arabic very well headed the committee, and he is the only one authorized to make any decision on the crossing.
It is noteworthy that Iran and the Assad regime opened Al-Bukamal border crossing with Iraq a few days ago, after many delays as a result of air strikes.
