Sources revealed to Deir Ezzor 24 Network that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia has recently started to establish a new military base in Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
The sources confirmed that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia brought logistical equipment and concrete walls to the new base.
After taking control of al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, Iran seized properties of civilians and turned them into security and military headquarters.
Iran has set up training camps for its troops and militias near the sheep market in Al-Mayadeen city east of Deir Ezzor, but the new base is the largest for the Iranian militias in the city.
It is indicated that Iran has set up dozens of military bases in various areas it controls in Deir Ezzor countryside, some of which have been subjected to air strikes by unidentified parties.
