Today, Monday 7/10/2019, Sources revealed to Deir Ezzor 24 network that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia arrested two elements of its forces in Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
The sources noted that the arrest took place in the badiyah of Al-Mayadeen city east of Deir Ezzor, and that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard accused the two elements of collaborating with factions of the Syrian opposition.
The sources indicated that the two arrested elements are Syrians who joined the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia about a year ago after they signed settlement papers with the regime.
In recent months, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has sought to attract young people to its militias in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside by luring them with money.
It is indicated that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia elements are deployed throughout the region extending from the Al-Mayadeen to Al-Bukamal city near the Iraqi-Syrian border.
