DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Residents of Deir Ezzor province traveling to Damascus are subjected to security blackmail by the security of hotels in the province, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our correspondent said that most of the people of Deir Ezzor who are compelled by the conditions of illness and travel procedures or follow up with their relatives who are detained by the Assad regime to travel to the capital, they go to the hotels of the Marjah neighborhood in the center of Damascus, and they provide the Political Security with the names of their residents from Deir Ezzor governorate and accuse them in exchange for paying sums A fine of up to 2 million pounds for their release within the hotel and not dragging them to the branch.
Which forces them to pay those sums to get rid of charges that may be “terrorism” or “oil trade”.
It is noteworthy that workers from those hotels play the role of brokers in such incidents, working to collect money from people for the benefit of the security branch, in return for their release from the charges against them.
