The people of Deir Ezzor in the areas controlled by the Assad regime refused to collect donations as part of the campaign launched by the Endowment Directorate in mosques after Friday prayers, because they did not trust that it would be delivered to those who deserve it, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
He added that they demanded the collection of in-kind and cash donations by suggested people from every city and village.
The Directorate of Endowments of the Assad regime had instructed, since the night before yesterday, mosque officials to collect donations for the benefit of those affected by the earthquake and to hold absentee prayers for their souls after Friday prayers.
