Deir Ezzor province expêroeced the inauguration of the Junior Chamber International, a new step toward empowering youth and promoting local development in the governorate. The organization will present its mission and objectives in supporting local communities and spreading the culture of entrepreneurship.
A DeirEzzor24 Network reporter reported a meeting in Deir Ezzor to elect the Board of Directors and deputies, hosted by the Takatuf Youth Association. The meeting was attended by the National President of the Junior Chamber International in Syria, Senator Mustafa Mu’ayyad, along with members of the National Executive Committee, representatives of the sponsoring local chamber, and other members.
The event included an introductory session presented by the National Legal Advisor and the National Vice President. The articles of the internal constitution and institutional work mechanisms were presented to inform the founding members of the rules of organizational work.
During the founding meeting of the General Assembly, the Board of Directors of the Junior Chamber International – Deir Ezzor was elected, led by Professor Iyas Al-Abras, marking the official launch of the Chamber’s activities and the beginning of its journey to serve the local community and empower the youth in the province.
The Junior Chamber is a team of young people established with the goal of local development, and it is present in almost every governorate. It can be likened to an association to some extent, as it works to finance projects, organize training and initiatives, and has an administrative board and an ambassador.
The Junior Chamber is known as a gateway to political positions. The Junior Chamber was established in Deir Ezzor in 2009, but its activities were halted due to the outbreak of the Syrian revolution. Two years ago, work began to relaunch it, which required significant time and effort. This opening represents a powerful opportunity for the youth of Deir Ezzor to utilize their skills in the service of development.
