The Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia has begun preparing for a military combing campaign in the Al-Bukamal desert, east of Deir Ezzor, to pursue Daesh cells, according to what the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network reported.
Our correspondent said that the campaign is scheduled to start from the desert of the town of Salhia, west of Albukamal, towards the depth of the desert, and from the city of Albukamal towards the depth of the desert.
According to a special source for DeirEzzor24 network, the real goal of the campaign is to expose the Revolutionary Guards militia to smuggling routes used by other militias, to control them later.
About 200 elements will participate in the campaign, with medium and light weapons, led by Iranian officers and the so-called “Abu Issa al-Hamdan”, commander of the 47th Regiment militia.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia launches such campaigns from time to time to secure its points in the desert, but this time its goal is smuggling routes.
