Deir Ezzor 24 exclusive:
Sources revealed to Deir Ezzor 24 network that pro-Iranian militias expelled the national defense militia from a military checkpoint belonging to the latter in al-Cornich Street in Al-Mayadeen city east of Deir Ezzor.
The sources confirmed that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard took over the checkpoint and deployed its elements in the city instead of the national defense militia elements, amid noticeable tension between the two parties.
The sources added that the takeover of the checkpoint by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards came at the same time that elements of the National Defense Militia defected and joined the Revolutionary Guard in Al-Mayadeen recently.
The National Defense Militia complained to the Assad’s forces command in Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside but the latter refused to intervene.
The IRGC militia seeks to dominate the key areas of people life in Deir Ezzor city, encouraging people to join it through offering attractive pay.
It is noteworthy that Iran has established dozens of military militias in its areas of control in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, and seeks to push people to join them.
