The Iranian Cultural Center distributed 200 copies of the Holy Qur’an to the mosques of the city of Al-Mayadeen, to win the minds and hearts of the local people in the holy month of Ramadan, according to a DeirEzzor24 network reporter.
According to our reporter, a group of cultural center officials provided a financial grant to several sheiks and imams of mosques who lean towards Iran and its militias to increase their promotion.
A week ago, the imam of Al-Musalla Mosque in Al-Mayadin, a senior cleric in the city, was targeted by unknown gunmen with two bullets, as he was coming out of the mosque after the evening prayer. He is one of the most important loyalists to Iran and often praises them in his mosque.
