This morning, Thursday (June 4th), the international coalition forces and a military force of the SDF have started a large-scale military campaign in Deir Ezzor’s badiyah east of the Euphrates, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
The campaign, according to a source, will target hideouts of Daesh cells in the badiyah, which is used by the organization as a springboard for its operations.
The source added that the military campaign is led by American forces in participation with coalition forces, and is one of the largest campaign in the region, where the roads connecting the villages, towns and cities with the badiyah were cut by military checkpoints set up by the SDF-linked Deir Ezzor Military Council.
It is indicated that the international coalition along with the SDF carry out occasional military security operations against Daesh remnants’ positions in Deir Ezzor’s areas (east of the Euphrates).
