DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Dozens of people from the city of Deir Ezzor gathered in front of the Immigration and Passports Branch, according to what a Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent reported.
Our correspondent said that some had to stay in front of the branch since the night hours, despite the cold, in the hope of entering the branch early with the start of work.
He pointed out that the majority of applicants are forced to pay the required bribes in exchange for obtaining the passport, as members of Assad’s forces deliberately create congestion and an artificial crisis within the branch, to blackmail the applicants and force them to pay royalties in exchange for obtaining the passport.
These measures are causing a state of anger among the people of the city over the delay in issuing their passports, as officers and members of the Assad regime inside the branch are using the excuse of the lack of documents necessary to issue the passport.
