DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network said that the farmers of Deir Ezzor are suffering from the loss of the subsidized fertilizer, which is usually provided by the agricultural bank.
Our correspondent added that the Agricultural Bank in Deir Ezzor did not distribute their fertilizers to farmers for the third month in a row, despite the urgent need for it in the cotton crop, summer greens and corn of all kinds.
He pointed out that the director of the Agricultural Bank in Deir Ezzor, “Mohamed Al-Akal,” stated that the interruption of fertilizer is caused by an expected increase in its price, which is expected to reach 100%.
The price of a bag of 46 caliber fertilizer (urea) recently reached 70,000 Syrian pounds in the Agricultural Bank, before its interruption, while it is available on the black market now, but in limited quantities and very high prices.
