DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The directorates of the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor have witnessed an unprecedented turnout by employees to apply for unpaid annual leave, according to the correspondent of Deir Ezzor 24 Network.
Our correspondent said that the employees’ goal from these vacations is to travel to the southern governorates and the capital, Damascus, to work with their families as a result of the harsh living conditions in Deir Ezzor, with the collapse of the Syrian pound, as the employee’s wage does not exceed $10 per month.
He added that some of the workers, whose requests were rejected, chose to leave government jobs and travel to SDF-controlled areas to work with their families to secure a living.
Self-employment has become significantly better than jobs under the Assad regime, due to the significant drop in wages for jobs, which do not exceed $10.
