Yesterday, the Fifth Corps command reduced the salaries of its members by $50 per member, bringing the monthly wage to $150 for local volunteers, according to what a private source told DeirEzzor24 Network.
The source said that despite the aforementioned reduction, the salaries of the members of the Fifth Corps remain the highest paid in Deir Ezzor, and they were reduced last year by $100 for a period of three months only, so that the command returned it to $200 for members, 250 for group leaders, and up to $500 for commanding officers.
The Fifth Corps is deployed in two brigades, the Fifth and Sixth in Deir Ezzor, and is stationed in villages east of the Euphrates. It has a fixed point, which is the Russian reconciliation center in the town of Hatla, northeast of Deir Ezzor, the Russian Bridge Protection Battalion, Deir Ezzor Military Airport, Al-Vilat neighborhood, Al-Taym and Al-Ward fields, and Al-Mayadin area.
