The Sahem Organization launched a campaign titled “Building Hope” to support the education sector in Deir Ezzor city and its countryside, according to a reporter of DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our reporter said that the campaign aims to provide school supplies, improve school infrastructure, and support students and teachers to ensure the continuity of the educational process in light of the current challenges.
He added that the campaign targets students and teachers in Deir Ezzor and its countryside, particularly in areas suffering from a severe shortage of educational resources due to the repercussions of the war and the destruction of school infrastructure, in addition to the economic crisis that has made it more difficult to continue education.
Muayyad Al-Ajaj, Executive Director of Sahem Organization, told Deir Ezzor 24 Network, “The campaign was launched in cooperation with the Deir Ezzor Education Directorate and will continue until its goals are achieved.”
Deir Ezzor is suffering from difficult economic conditions that have directly impacted the education sector. Statistics indicate that 179 schools, including 39 completely destroyed schools, need rehabilitation.
