Today, Monday 19-8-2019, for the first time, “the Autonomous administration of North and East Syria” handed over a group of Daesh fighters’ children to the German government, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that the number of children handed over to the German government are 4 orphaned children whose parents were killed during fighting in Deir Ezzor. They are between the ages of 6 months and 10 years.
Our correspondent confirmed that a German delegation headed by the cheif of the consular assistance department of the German Foreign Ministry, Ms. “Manja Klesi” arrived at the Simalka crossing today, Monday, and was received by the Department of Foreign Relations in northern and eastern Syria at the border crossing.
She noted that at the end of the meeting, the two parties signed a handover document. It is indicated that this incident is the first of its kind since the Syrian democratic forces (SDF) took control of Deir Ezzor and expelled Daesh from it.
