At least 5 civilians were killed, several others were wounded, when the Assad regime bombed Daesh-held neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city on Sunday afternoon.
A D24 correspondent said, “ 5 civilians were killed as a result of the airstrikes on the Oradi and the Humeidiyah neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city. 2 were killed in the Humeidiya and the others in the Oradi.”
He added, “ The casualties are civilians, including two women and two children.”
The airstrikes are being carried out amid the ongoing fierce battles between the organization and Assad’s forces in the vicinity of the military airport, the cemetery areas and Brigade 137, where Daesh succeeded in gaining control over the Muhandissin ( Engineers) Institute west of the airport.
