Violent clashes are still raging on multiple front lines in the city of Deir Ezzor.
A D24 correspondent in Deir Ezzor said ‘ A new Daesh offensive on Assad’s forces positions in Deir Ezzor city, Brigade 137, the Panorama Checkpoint and the Deir Ezzor Military Airport, has triggered fierce clashes which are still going on until the moment of writing this report.’
He added,’ Both parties haven’t made any significant gains so far. Meanwhile, the Regime have intensified the airstrikes on the vicinity of the airport, Thurdah Mount, the Bughayliyah town, the vicinity of the Brigade 137 and the ‘Idaa building west of the city.’
Four airstrikes also targeted the main streets and the Jam Factory in Al Mayadin city, east Deir Ezzor. Daesh also bombed the regime-held neighborhoods with mortar shells, killing and wounding a number of civilians.
