The Syrian Development Fund, accompanied by representatives of the Sovereign Fund, conducted a field tour in Deir Ezzor Governorate, commissioned by the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Ahmed Al-Sharaa.
The visit came within the framework of an integrated development vision aimed at enhancing stability and accelerating the pace of early recovery in the governorate.
The tour included a meeting between the Director General of the Fund, Mr. Safwat Raslan, and the Governor of Deir Ezzor, Mr. Ghassan Al-Sayed Ahmed, where the service and development conditions were discussed, and the most prominent challenges and basic needs in various sectors were reviewed.
The two sides stressed the importance of adopting a participatory approach in determining intervention priorities, ensuring that projects are directed towards the sectors most in need, and contributing to improving the level of services and enhancing local development.
This round comes in preparation for launching the first package of development projects that the Fund seeks to implement in Deir Ezzor during the next phase, in a way that supports stability and reconstruction efforts.
