The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) revealed a new way of smuggling fuel from the SDF controlled areas to those controlled by the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor.

The new way was through a plastic pipe whose diameter is 4 inch that connects the Assad forces controlled village of al-Husan to the town of al-Baghelia controlled by the SDF. Smugglers use the pipeline to smuggle diesel to al-Baghelia.

Initial investigations revealed that the owner of the pipe is a smuggler called Ahmad Daham al-Aeish.

A fuel crisis strikes the Assad forces’ controlled areas in Deir Ezzor, increasing smuggling operations from the SDF controlled areas.
