On Thursday, August 20,2020, the Assad Military Intelligences and Military Police launched a military campaign in the villages of al-Bughailiya, Ayn-al-BuJumaa, and Ayash in the western Deir Ezzor countryside.
The aim of the campaign is to arrest young men for compulsory recrutiment.
The Assad forces arrested 40 young men in the villages. The young men will be imprisoned in Military Police prisons then transferred to compulsory recruitment.
A source reported to Deir Ezzor 24 Network that Assad forces’ members were arrested during the campaign. The members were on official leaves issued by their bases.
Assad forces intend to launch a military campaign in the Idlib governorate, so this explains the reason for the campaign in Deir Ezzor to recruit young men.
