Life is gradually returning to Six to a Quarter Street, one of the oldest markets in Deir Ezzor and the eastern region in general, according to a correspondent of the DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our correspondent reported that shop owners have begun renovating and reopening their stores, reviving commercial activity and bringing life back to a significant portion of the market.
He added that the street currently houses clothing stores, small cafes, beauty shops, and others selling electronic devices.
Majed Al-Abdullah, the owner of one of the shops, confirmed that dozens of clothing and accessory shops are preparing to reopen in the foreseeable future, following the completion of maintenance and restoration work.
Six to a Quarter Street in Deir Ezzor was destroyed by shelling from the former regime forces with various types of weapons early in the Syrian revolution, which led to its being badly damaged and being knocked out of commission.
The market was also marginalized and neglected during the regime’s period of control over the city, resulting in the displacement of most shop owners
