DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
DeirEzzor24 network correspondent said that a number of farmers in Deir Ezzor countryside are now selling “good” barley to sheep breeders at prices that exceed 300,000 pounds per dunum.
Our correspondent added that the cultivation of “Al-Jayer” barley succeeded to a large extent in Deir Ezzor this year as a result of the recent rains that targeted the region and the humidity of the weather.
Livestock breeders resort to buying winter crops as food for them as a result of the loss of fodder materials in the markets, their high cost in case they exist, and the non-distribution of fodder dues from the Fodder Corporation in Deir Ezzor.
