Large numbers of landmines and war remnants left behind by Assad forces and Iranian-backed militias are spread in the desert of the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, according to a reporter of DeirEzzor24 network .
Our reporter said that dozens of deaths and injuries were recorded recently, as a result of some of these mines exploding on civilians while grazing sheep or searching for truffles in the desert of Al-Tabni and Maadan, west of Deir Ezzor.
Civil sources told Deir Ezzor 24 that the Iranian-backed militias, before withdrawing, spread dozens of landmines in the desert of Al-Masrab and Al-Tabni, reaching the desert of Maadan in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The Assad forces and the Iranian-backed militias planted and booby-trapped dozens of mines in the military points where they were stationed with the forces of the defunct regime in the desert of Al-Tabni and Maadan, west of Deir Ezzor.
