A private source told DeirEzzor24 Network that the Secretary of the Baath Party branch in Deir Ezzor, “Raed al-Ghadhban,” threatened the former Baath Brigades commander, “Salem al-Matras,” as a result of a major dispute between them.
According to the source, “Al-Ghadban” threatened Al-Matrass by publishing explicit pictures of his daughter, “Maryam Salem Al-Matras,” a member of the People’s Assembly for the Ba’ath constituency in Deir Ezzor.
He confirmed that “Al-Ghadban”, since assuming membership in the branch’s leadership, about 5 years ago, has employed an electronic team to document scandalous photos and videos to be used to blackmail his competitors in the future.
The Ba’ath Brigades share with the party’s branch and the Peasants’ Union the building of the “Peasants’ Union” in the city of Deir Ezzor.
