On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, the child Amena Yuosuf al-Ali died due to a medical mistake in a hospital in the city of al-Mayadeen, eastern Deir Ezzor.

The child suffered from significant high temperature as parents transported her to hospital in al-Mayadeen. A doctor injected the child causing her convulsion, stopped breathing, then death.

When she stopped breathing, the child needed mouth respiration; however, the hospital lacked oxygen cylinders as this added to the child’s death reasons.

The child died a day after another one died in the al-Jourah neighborhood in Deir Ezzor due to lack of anticoagulant serum in hospitals. A scorpion bite the child, causing her to die.
