Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said that the Syrian democratic forces (SDF) have prevented maintenance teams of Assad regime from extending the fibre-optic cable to Hasaka province.
Our correspondent also said that the SDF prevented the workshops from completing the digging after they finished 5 km along “al-khurafi” road, requiring Assad regime to feed the areas of eastern Euphrates with internet in exchange for allowing the workshops to continue their work.
Assad regime has shown no reaction to the SDF action, and the digging is still on hold.
It is indicated that the (ADSL) Internet has been cut off in Hasakeh governorate since late 2012, due to the destruction of the fibre-optic cable, but nearly 15 days ago, Deir Ezzor Postal Service has started a project to install a cable from Deir Ezzor to Hasaka.
